Epson launches programmable fast delivery active crystal oscillator SPXO

Epson has launched a series of programmable crystal oscillators, which stand out in the market due to their high precision, stability, and flexible programmability. The biggest advantage of this type of programmable crystal oscillator is its fast delivery speed. Samples can generally be sent out within 24 hours, while bulk shipments are usually completed within 1 to 3 working days. In contrast, the delivery time for other products can be as long as three to four months, and Epson has significantly shortened this time.


The characteristic of programmable crystal oscillator is its ability to respond to specific frequencies. Users can freely choose any frequency from 0.67MHz to 170MHz. Epson's programmable crystal oscillator structure consists of two main parts: crystal and resonant cavity. After applying voltage, the quartz crystal begins to vibrate, generating electrical signals. After detection and digital processing, the signal is demodulated by a PLL processor to obtain the desired frequency signal.


The SG-8200 and SG-8201 series adopt Epson's latest decimal N-division PLL technology. Compared with its predecessor, the stability has been doubled and the phase jitter has been reduced to 1/25 of the original. These products are suitable for various consumer and industrial fields, especially in small size requirements or high temperature environments, with a working temperature of up to+125 ° C. This programmable SPXO can be produced in small batches within the frequency range of 1.2MHz to 170MHz, quickly supporting development and mass production.

SG-8201CG and SG-8201CJ have high precision and low jitter performance, with a frequency tolerance of only ± 15ppm. SG-8200CG and SG-8200CJ are suitable for general use, with a frequency accuracy of ± 50ppm. Both exhibit excellent low jitter characteristics, allowing for precise operation and temperature compensation even in high temperature environments up to 125 ° C. The package size is 2.5mm x 2.0m x 0.74m.


The SG-9101CA/CB/CE/CG four models of spread frequency crystal oscillators integrate SS functional modules. When frequency modulation is applied at the output end, it can effectively suppress the spectral peaks of the fundamental and harmonic waves. In this way, the actual output frequency is no longer the factory nominal value, but can be flexibly adjusted according to the current circuit design needs, minimizing electromagnetic interference (EMI) to the greatest extent possible. The debugging process of these frequency spreading crystal oscillators is completely different from that of general-purpose active crystal oscillators.


Epson has launched an AEC-Q100 compliant automotive programmable crystal oscillator for automotive electronic devices. SG-8101CGA is a high-precision and high stability automotive grade crystal oscillator. The new model SG-8201CJA not only has high precision and low jitter characteristics, but also performs well in a wide temperature range. It can be used in conjunction with the SG-9101CGA with spread spectrum function to reduce noise.


SG-8503CA, SG-8504CA, and SG-8506CA are three 7050 sized programmable high-frequency crystal oscillators that users can freely choose from within the frequency range of 50MHz to 800MHz, and output LV-PECL waveforms. Their main difference lies in the number of interfaces and channels.
